Mutant Video - Missing Fingers (cassette)

Mutant Video are a three piece unit consisting of: John Lukeman (synth), Nic Schmidt (bass), and Mutant (machines). This album features seven amazing instrumental tracks, which are:
1- missing fingers: dark synth + ambient darkwave = a feeling of cold, dark minimalism.
2- the drive: light beats + instrumental electronics = the perfect soundtrack for an atmospheric horror movie indeed.
3- silent curtain: creepy effects + more synth = is this my hair rising or you`re just happy to see me honey ?
4- raw deal: harsh percussions + electroacoustic \ ambient noise.
5- street lightning: percussions + various noise bytes = pure meditative noise for folks like me.
6- cut off: tight percussive elements + various sounds colliding left and right = I like it, I like it, I like it!
7- broken in leather: minimal darkcore electronics which conjures feelings of loneliness, coldness and desolation. This is my favorite song. I kept listening to this and all I could think of is THE THING!!!  THE THING!!!  THE THING!!! . Yes it`s that damned good kudos for fans of the great John Carpenter himself. Limited edition of 300 copies. 4you

This drawing is a special gift for a special person which comes from a  far away land (ruled by religious dictatorship, unfortunately). even in the worst places on this planet inner beauty shines through. Once you felt freedom there is no coming back. This drawing is for you honey even though we're so far apart but still feel so close together.Merry Christmas!!!

DJ Hollow Life - Skitzophrantics Dream (mp3)

I was  surfing the internet and checking out various stuff at www.archive.org  when I noticed another DJ Hollow Life album. it`s been released on `Tethered Records`a brand new netlabel. This album has thirteen tracks of electronically oriented music (it runs under 50 minutes). Most of the songs sound like old school percussive industrial music. And no you young puppies out there I don`t mean Nine Inch Nails or  Marilyn Manson. When I say old school industrial, I mean bands like: Nox, Coil, Nurse With Wound, Zoviet France, Hafler Trio, Bourbonese Qualk, etc, etc. don`t know what I`m talking about. Well get your ass out of faceshit, twitterooni and google it. You might actually learn something here. The music sounds percussive, kind of like Bourbonese Qualk but with a melody, a musical quality. This is another mighty impressive album and it`s free too. There`s a couple of standout tracks: `DP`s keep her happy`(happy go lucky smooth electronica), `the sleight of darkness`(industrial minimalism maybe), and `nutty bars are better than you sex!`(almost 8 bit, melodic electronica). Well don`t just stand there, get it here:     https://archive.org/details/SkitzophranticsDream

TFTTDH part 11

The spirit of something

It was a Friday morning at the office
I`m a contractor and I work the reception

I`m not a regular employee you might say
Everybody is leaving around 11h30 a.m.
For their Christmas diner party

Some restaurant downtown I think
I`m not invited
Like I said, I`m a contractor
I don`t mind though
It means I`ll be alone here
So I can listen to my music
And indulge myself during their party
Plus when they come back
Say around three o`clock p.m.
Most of them will be a little bit drunk
I love seeing the office girls
All dressed up nicely
And coming back under the influence
I sure hope I see Jenny this afternoon
I wonder what she`s wearing right now
Jenny drives me crazy
She`s a chunky tall brunette
With curly long hair and deep dark eyes

She`s got lotsa curves in all the right places
Damned!
I`m getting excited just thinking about her
And man those eyes
She just looks at you and you`re defenceless, helpless
WHATTA WOMAN!!!
I gotta calm down and relax
I drink some coffee

Check my emails
Nothing
The phone`s not ringing
Nothing
Sweet fuck all happening
I`m listening to some electronic music
And chilling out

Somebody`s coming in
Julia, Marc and Heather
The office drones are in the house

I say hi
They come in pick up their coats and leave
More employees are coming in at the same time
No Jenny in sight though
Then around 15h30
Jenny comes in staggering a little
She looks a bit drunk
Hey girl I say
Hi Tom
You ok girl?
Yes
I love white wine
Don`t we all honey
She goes in the back
Here`s Harry coming to replace me
Yo Tom break time dude
Sure thing bro
Thanks
Don`t mention it
I`m supposed to have 15 minutes break
But Harry always comes early
Which leaves me
With about 25 minutes of spare time
I got enough time to piss and go downstairs
For coffee and smokes

I`m running to the washroom
And I`m thinking
JESUS CHRIST DO I HAVE TO PISS!!!!!!!!!!!
As I turn the corner, Bang!
I hit Jenny
she falls on the floor
I pick her up
Jenny, I`m so sorry girl, you ok?
I`m alright what`s the rush
I gotta take a leak
Need help?
What?
You heard me right you need help?
What do you mean?
I see the way you look at me all the time Tom
Now my face is all red
I also find you cute
Well thanks, I mumble
You need help Tom?
I look at her and say
The washroom is not a good place
Too many guys go in there you know
Wait for me
I won`t be long
I know this amazingly
Comfortable and secluded stockroom nearby
I`ll be waiting Tom
But don`t take too long
Sure thing Jenny
I enter the washroom
Unzip my pants and try to piss
What the hell`s wrong with me?
DAMNED ERECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can`t piss
I gotta calm down
And think
Think about
Something disgusting
I got it
Now I`m imagining
Moe getting slammed by Barney Gumbles

In a cheap porn booth
There`s a smell
Of stale urine and old cum
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOW!!!
My boner`s gone
I wash my hands
Exit the washroom
Jenny`s still waiting
Your stockroom or mine Tom?
Mine baby
Follow me
How far is it
Just around the corner
I open the door
It`s a small room with and old couch

And a huge window
We`re on the twelve floor
The view outside is stunning
What do you think of the…
I didn`t have time to finish my sentence
Jenny jumps on me and kisses me passionately
While feeling my hard cock
I start to unzip her skirt

Jenny is that a g-string or you`re just happy to see me?

Less talk more action she says
I comply, of course
She unzip my pants, almost tears my boxers apart
And plays with my dick
She strokes it while playing with my balls
Slow down girl, take it easy
I want you inside me Tom
Sure thing honey
Jenny I`m out of condoms

Bullshit I hate condoms
Wearing a condom feels
Like jerking off with gloves
No time for that Tom
I want you inside me right now
I sit on the couch
And before I even know it
She`s sitting on my dick
I grab her big tits

And start to lick them
Her nipples are so hard
Harder than my dick I`m thinking
She`s slowly going up and down
Up and down
Up and down
The tempo`s getting faster now
Man she`s coming
My cock is getting submerged by her juices
Now It`s my turn to come
AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
What a violent orgasm
We`re sitting down, silent
Happy and exhausted
Or is it the other way around?
You gotta smoke Tom
We can`t smoke here see, there`s a smoke detector up there
I point to her
Then I`m thinking
I could have sex at the office
Drink and shoot some dope but no smoking inside
This is an amazing age indeed
Doing anything tonight Jenny?
Nothing what about you?
Nothing either wanna do another fuck session?
Don`t think so Tom
Why was it that bad?
No it was great
But I don`t think my boyfriend would approve
I didn`t know you had a boyfriend
You didn`t ask
And you didn`t tell me either
It`s alright it was fun
Sure thing
Wait until I tell the girls about this
Say what?
You think I`m the only one
Who thinks you`re actually cute?
To be honest
I don`t find myself attractive you know
I know
And that`s what makes you a stud
You`re innocence and your fucking smile
What fucking smile?
You always look either happy or horny
I would say both
Exactly
Well thanks Jenny
Don`t mention it
Guess I`ll see you Monday morning then
Yes
Take care
Take care Tom
We kiss and
I go back at the reception
I think that stockroom will be my second office
During breaks
Now that was a real corporate fuck session
Fast
Hard
Quick
Efficient
Unfortunately I`m a contractor
And a good contractor is always supposed
To satisfy his customers
Now I will work hard trying to satisfy my customers
Hard and all the time

Man I love this job...

DJ Hollow Life - Quantum Religion (mp3)

Another mighty impressive free download. DJ Hollow Life hails from Clearwater, Florida, USA (just like my good collagist buddy Thompson). This album is rather short (it runs under 35 minutes). I have to say it`s a shame because this is some pretty amazing, mind-blowing, dare I say mind-boggling material.  The music is not top twenty material which is  definitely my cup of tea. Commercial music bores me. And normality is so fucking boring indeed. You could say that this album has a lot of different styles to offer:  light IDM \ electronica (a delay in my though process), instrumental atmospheric  electronics (advice from a drunk man), dark bluesy experimentations (digital monkey`s fling bits), dark chip experimentations (too many tracks to mention), circuit bent noiseworks, dark ambient noise, dark chip music, anyways, I think you get the drill. You could also mention that this album falls under the category of dark chip (Super Mario getting slammed left and right by Bowser himself, ah, ah, ah),  circuit bent (your old Casio going apeshit) , experimental music. My favorite word when you don`t know what the hell this s is. Highly recommended too. Get it here:   https://archive.org/details/QuantumReligion-djHollowLife

ONE DAMNED YEAR BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning, sat down, had a coffee and try to shake my internal cobwebs. I`m still not fully awake. And I`m thinking what should I talk about in my next post? I have no idea at the present time. Then it suddenly  hits me … Bang!!! I started this underground, independant  blog more than a year ago. Mastock the blog released it`s first ever post on remembrance day, November,  11th, 2012. Mastock is now a year and a month old, just like a little baby, my little baby.  I look at the statistics and there`s almost 4000 clicks on my various articles \ posts. Not bad for a blog which basically has:
No publicity
No promotion
Talks about non commercial stuff, like:
Mail art
Zines
Noise
Underground bands \ artists
Drawings of famously unknown artists
Short stories
& various insanities
so happy belated birthday Mastock
and kudos to all my readers

I thank you all for your love and support
I would also like to thank all my enemies and \ or the fine folks who never believed in me.

Without your stupid comments and negative feedback I would never do anything except sit on my fat ass whine and complain, yatta yatta, yatta. Your negative opinion has been noted. Anyways, opinions are like assholes, everybody`s got one.

Concrete Island (cassette)

A collaboration between Scott Moore (Limp Wrist, Needles)  and Dave Coen (Whitehorse). This  short tape (under 25 minutes) has four tracks. And what does it sounds like? Here goes:
1- fear from behind = electronics + percussions = a dark, bleak claustrophobic , nightmarish atmosphere (me dig this baby, yesssssss).
2- double moon & at midnight = minimal electronics \ ambience with dark undertones thrown in for good measure.
3- escape from concrete island = a subtle mix of ambient noise and electroacoustic music. It`s sparse, percussive, repetitive, yet strangely compelling and meditative. I highly recommend this release. This is high quality dark music. The perfect soundtrack for an atmospheric thriller \ horror movie. Limited edition of ??? Bite itself \ self com split (cassette)

Unfortunately this short tape (under 20 minutes) is sold out. Too bad though because this is some pretty amazing material. Let`s start the first side with Bite Itself performing `abyss`(8.56 minutes): a potent mix of raw noisy outbursts, ambient darkwave, ambient noise with lots of lo-fi nearly silence moments. Simply amazing, you`re always wondering what`s coming up next. Impressive experimental music. On the second side Self Com does three tracks.
1- status report (2.05 minutes) = ambient noise probably made using old school analog synth drones. Too short for my taste buds. I would like to hear a longer (20 minutes perhaps) version of this piece (yes, it`s that damn good).
2- dead space (3.27 minutes) = recalls Syd Barrett`s guitar works. This is better material though: catchy minimal, lo-fi,  psychedelic with a soft eerie voice (what else is there to say).
3- I`m a mean (4.13) = ambient noise + found sounds + more weird, out of this world lo-fi voice = a foggy drug enduced (without drugs) sonic trip. Good stuff.

Hiroshima Yeah! # 104 (October 2013) (zine)

This is a 8.5 by 11 inches black and white, cut and paste, five pager zine. On the  front page we have `poetry from a Leonard Cohen afterworld`Mark graces us  with a potent dose of amazing, ironic, makes me thirsty poetry. My favorite piece this time around is:
Philosophy
I shite,
Therefore I am
Now this is some mind boggling, profound,, deep down Uranus poetry. It inspires me too. Here`s my philosophical statement of the day:
Ambidextrous
I masturbate
Therefore I`m self-sufficient
thus being said next in line, there`s Gary Simmons `1.5 years behind bars`or as I would describe this `tales from the Inside`. It gives you an honest account about what it is being jailed in good old UK prison system. `Give me liberty or give me death`, damn straight. Also, there`s lots of music, concert, book and zine reviews. Interesting  `The Ceramic Hobs` album review. I`m really curious and interested. I have to find more information regarding CH. Last but not least, there`s another short ditty written by senior Ritchie himself `Anhedonia`. A Bukowskiesque, urban, lowbrow kind off drinking story (with a masturbatory undertone). It made me thirsty  like hell. Waiter, bring me a beer every ten minutes and when I`m drunk, every two minutes. Contact address:

Hiroshima Yeah! # 103 (September 2013) (zine)

This is a 8.5 by 11 inches black and white, cut and paste, four pager zine. Let`s begin with `poetry, culture, alienation, boredom and despair. An impressive collection of short, slice of life poetry. This time around I have two favorite poems which are:
Work
Work is something you do
Between visits to the pub
And
Belonging nowhere
I don`t belong here
Or anywhere else.
Pretty amazing brothers and sisters!!! We also have our monthly installment of `1.5 years behind bars` (Gary Simmons various ramblings about life inside i.e. I mean being jailed, dumbass!!!).  There`s lots of reviews here: music, book, and concerts; The B-52`s (one of my favorite bands)  & Joshua Berkett & Jon Collins. `After hours `(written by Mark Ritchie himself)  is a short story about boozing + doing a threesome with a hooker at work (of all places, lol) after working hours, of course. I almost had a boner while reading this. Thumbs up dude!!! Instant classic lowbrow material. I wanna read some more, feed me more baby!!! I love Hiroshima Yeah1

This time around I have more original and impressive mail art. Enjoy the show because it's free. Support the underground \ alternative culture.

The last one is my favorite. Primitive, punkish, and pissed-off too, with colors included!!!

Lovebrrd & Italics - split volume – 2 (3" CD-R)

I love listening to split mini CD-R`s!  it serves as a good introduction for unknown bands \ projects \ collabs \ artist. And if you send this by old snail mail it`s usually dirt cheap too. We open things up with:

Lovebrrd - tect (9.30 minutes),:  it begins with some type of tribal electronic beat, which slowly becomes noisier and noisier. Good stuff. Definitely not recommended with headphones on folks. We now end this split with Italics – foil vs scimitar (9.48 minutes):  this is gloomy, doomy, claustrophobic, apocalyptic experimental noise works. An aural nightmare indeed. This is definitely not for the pop music fan out there. Painstakingly wrecking, a noisy masterpiece. Limited edition of ??? contact them for availability  here:   http://foreverescapingboredom.bandcamp.com/album/lovebrrd-italics-split-3

Extreme Chafing - Sand In My Crack (3" CD-R)

Extreme Chafing is the solo project of one Joe Stache (Hoggle, Pig Shrapel, Dungeon Attire). There`s one track on this mini CDR;  recorded 19-08-2012. EC delivers a 14 minute piece of blistering, relentless, unforgiving wall of noise mixed with some high pitched distortion works. Damned, my ears are bleeding again. Are you talking to me? You talking to me? I`m talking by myself here and no one`s listening. Extreme times calls for extreme noise. Indeed. Have a beer the end is near. Limited edition of 24 copies. Write for availability:  http://foreverescapingboredom.bandcamp.com/album/extreme-chafing-sand-in-my-crack-3-cd-r

Zone Tripper & False Flag – split (cassette)

A split tape with Justin Marc Lloyd`s `False Flag` (power electronics)  and  Florida  \ Philadelphia  (  Sikora and Hal Harmon) science-fiction noise duo `Zone Tripper`. Each project records one track. This is a rather short tape, 16 minutes long.  And what does it sounds like? Here goes:
1- Zone Tripper – you have the right to remain silent (8.38 minutes): modulating, evolving experimental noise with some growling near the end. I think I need some Tylenol.

2- False Flag – police, child, child, child (7.24 minutes); grating \ grinding noise , screams, cutups and various demented insanities running in the background. I think I need more Tylenol. Limited edition of  God knows how many copies. Contact them for availability:  http://foreverescapingboredom.bandcamp.com/album/zone-tripper-false-flag-split-c18

Nexus Monkey – the negative effects of listening (CD-R)

This is a new Florida collaboration \ duo from the minds behind `Vasectomy Party`(harsh noise solo artist) and the `Black Beast Of Arrrghhh`(noise \ experimental noise). There`s one track on this here CD but it`s a long one indeed (+ 30 minutes). Raw noisy dirges mixed with some minimally dark and spacey synth running in the background. I`m getting squashed by a  gigantic wall of noise, while at the same time some spacey synth is slowly, but surely puncturing what`s left of me poor brains. I love this!!! Good stuff indeed. Give me some more. I want it, I want it, I want it!!!  Limited edition of twenty copies. This baby`s long gone for sure, sorry about your damn luck.. Forecast & Toxic Bliss (split tape)

I recently got my filthy hands on this rare, highly limited edition 25 copies cassette. This tape has two  sidelong tracks. Lets start with: `Forecast` which is the minimalist, natural disaster themed project of Sisto Rossi ( of Houses In Texas, Wallkeeper and Hatred). The track `stormclouds` (8.22 minutes)  sounds like a thunderstorm  recorded at full volume. He then `normalized` the track to make it even louder than before. It sounds like harsh noise with acoustic \ almost analogue undertones, brilliant stuff. Last but not least we have `Toxic Bliss`, a noise wall onslaught of Mitchell Rotunno (of Tjere and Untitled Productions).  The tracks name is `untitled`(11.29 minutes). It starts nice and  slow with some relaxing ambient noise , then it becomes louder and louder, harsher and harsher, damned my poor ears. Relentless harsh noise. This is not my cup of tea. It`s not bad, don`t get me wrong. But I heard soooo much noise which sounds the same. I like some variety in me noise menu. I recommend this if  you like old Merzbow,  MSBR, The Haters, GX Jupitter-Larsen, Con-Dom, and Sonic Disorder. More info here:  http://foreverescapingboredom.bandcamp.com/album/forecast-toxic-bliss-split-3

Breakdancing Ronald Reagan & Whitey Alabastard (split tape)

This is a short tape (under twenty minutes)  with a limited edition of 36 copies (it`s probably sold out as we speak). On side one we have `Breakdancing Ronald Reagan - he though everything was people`  (9.42 minutes).  It`s experimental noise with lots of fluctuating moments (orchestral electronic music, noise, spoken word, ambient noise, and lo-fi noise).  You never get bored because there`s always something moving, evolving, mutating, happening. This isn`t your typical harsh, repetitive redundant noise. Great stuff. I have to find some more. Next, we have `Whitey Alabastard  - I don`t like it `(9.47 minutes). This track offers a potent mix of ambient, almost lo- fi noise and weirdo experimental noise. The perfect soundtrack to gory, vile, violent, deranged, crazy,  post-apocalyptic movie. Hey, I would produce it (if I had cash).

Mastock resident artist

Here`s a drawing, courtesy of my good friend Pierre (no last name included). Pierre isn`t an artist but he do likes to draw now and then. So here goes:

More stuff from Pierre coming in the near future. We will do some part time collaborations. Whenever we`re both available.
